Baytex featured on “Just the Job”

News | | By:

Letting people know what’s involved in working in the textile fabrication industry with the goal of enticing youth to enter the industry is at the heart of a seven-minute video featuring Wendy Tankard and the Baytex staff. David Mason Productions filmed Tankard and the staff as they guided Chris Peak, a college student, through the process of manufacturing a tent. The result—“Just the Job: A Career in the Textile Fabrication Industry”—aired on Television New Zealand’s (TVNZ) series “Just the Job,” is scheduled to run in New Zealand as in-flight entertainment, and is available in area schools. “It was a challenge because we had to run our business while at the same time having a director, a producer and the camera crew here,” Wendy says. “One of the reasons they chose us is because of how successful apprentices have been. It’s a great way to promote apprenticeships.”
